In a whirlwind few hours, members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra packed in a rehearsal, some Citizen Musician activities and their first-ever concert in Warsaw. On the program was Concerto in modo antico by Polish composer Andrzej Panufnik, whose centennial the CSO is celebrating this season. Music Director Riccardo Muti chose to bring this work, a 15-minute concerto for trumpet and chamber-sized orchestra, to Warsaw. In the audience, cheering on the CSO, was Lady Camilla Panufnik, who visited Symphony Center earlier this fall.
