The Adventures in Music program (AIM) provides far-reaching musical experiences for families and children who might not otherwise benefit from the CSO’s school and family programming.

A program of the League of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association, AIM partners with community-based organizations and schools throughout Chicago offering hundreds of participants the opportunity to experience CSO School and Family Matinee concerts at Symphony Center. Preparation for these concert experiences begins at each partner site where ensembles of CSO musicians and volunteer Docents  introduce young listeners to elements of the performances they will attend. Participating students and families who attend Saturday concerts also enjoy guided preconcert music-making activities.

This community partnership program intends to reduce barriers to participation, broaden each participant’s enjoyment and appreciation of music, and nurture a sense of connection to the CSO.
