Plan Your Visit

Library Locations & Hours

View the hours and locations of the six campus libraries and the Special Collections Research Center. The Special Collections Research Center invites alumni to request materials prior to visiting. Learn more and plan your visit.

Search the Library Catalog

The Library Catalog is freely available to search from locations off-campus, regardless of your university affiliation. We encourage alumni to search the Library Catalog to find out if the Library holds the materials you need, where they are held, and whether they are currently available or checked out.

Alumni may purchase quarterly or annual borrowing privileges. Fees are based on the year you received your degree.

Print, Copy, and Scan

When using the Library, alumni are welcome to copy, print and scan materials. Alumni must purchase a copy card and/or add value to their UChicago Card or Campus Card prior to printing/copying. We encourage alumni to bring and to use USB devices for saving scans and PDFs. Learn more about printing, copying and scanning in the Library.
