Along with classical music, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association annually presents hundreds of concerts, including jazz, world music and new music, and single tickets for all CSOA-presented events for the 2014/15 season will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 online at cso.org, by phone (312) 294-3000 or in person at the Symphony Center box office, 220 S. Michigan.

Earlier this summer, single tickets became available for certain fall and holiday concerts, but now the entire season is open for non-subscription purchases. Along with launching single-ticket sales, the CSOA also announced programming updates, repertoire details, additional concerts and cancellations. All concerts are at Symphony Center, unless otherwise noted.

CSO AT THE MOVIES
CSO favorite Cristian Macelaru will conduct the orchestra for Fritz Lang’s silent masterpiece “Metropolis” (1927), which will conclude this year’s CSO at the Movies series on May 29.

CSO CONCERT SERIES
Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, May 7-9 and May 15: Anima, Young Singers of Greater Chicago children’s chorus, has been added to the artist roster.

Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande,  May 14, 16 and 19: Contralto Elodie Méchain replaces mezzo-soprano Felicity Palmer in the role of Geneviéve.

MUSICNOW
American conductor Donato Cabrera will conduct the Jan. 19 MusicNOW concert at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, 206 E. Randolph.

SYMPHONY CENTER PRESENTS
Chamber Music Series, Hilary Hahn, April 12: Joined by pianist Cory Smythe, the violinist will perform Schumann’s Sonata No. 1 for Violin and Piano, Debussy’s Sonata for Violin and Piano, and J.S. Bach’s Partita No. 3 for Violin.

Jazz Series: The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis has added two non-subscription performances: Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. in a Jazz for Young People concert and Feb. at 8 p.m. JLCO with Wynton Marsalis and a special guest to be announced.

Piano Series, Maurizio Pollini, Oct. 26: The pianist has announced his recital program: Schumann’s Arabesque and Kreisleriana as well as Chopin’s Sonata No. 2 in B-Flat Minor, Berceuse and Polonaise No. 6 in A-Flat Major, Op. 53.

Piano Series, Evgeny Kissin, April 19: The program will now feature Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 21 (Waldstein), Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 4 in C Minor, select Nocturnes and Mazurkas by Chopin, and Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 15 (Rákóczi March).

Special Concerts: “Celebrating the Holydays” featuring gospel-roots vocal ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock has been booked for Dec. 7.

Special Concerts: The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge, led by artistic director Stephen Cleobury, will perform March 24 at the Fourth Presbyterian Church, 126 E. Chestnut, in a program of traditional and contemporary English choral works.

CANCELLATIONS
Mazowsze Polish Folk Song and Dance Ensemble on Nov. 5 and the Celtic music icons The Chieftains on Dec. 7, both SCP Special Concerts, have been canceled due to scheduling conflicts.
