To complement its classical-music schedule, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association annually programs hundreds of concerts, including performances of jazz, world music and new music through its Symphony Center Presents series. Single tickets for all CSOA-presented events in the 2018-19 season, including those of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, CSO at the Movies and SCP series, go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 10 online at cso.org, by phone (312) 294-3000 or in person at the Symphony Center box office, 220 S. Michigan.

Earlier this summer, single tickets went on sale for certain fall and holiday concerts, but now the entire season is open for non-subscription purchases. Along with launching single-ticket sales, the CSOA also announced programming updates and repertoire details. All concerts are at Symphony Center, unless otherwise noted.

PROGRAM UPDATES

Czech Philharmonic, Nov. 4: The SCP Orchestras program featuring the Czech Philharmonic, led by Music Director and Chief Conductor Semyon Bychkov and featuring cellist Alisa Weilerstein, has changed and now features Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in B Minor and Symphony No. 9 in E Minor, Op. 95 (From the New World).

Leif Ove Andsnes, Jan. 27: This SCP Piano recital now features Schumann’s Three Romances, Op. 28; Janáček’s On an Overgrown Path, Book I; Bartók’s Three Burlesques, and Schumann’s Carnaval, Op. 9.

Anne-Sophie Mutter, Lambert Orkis and Daniel Muller-Schott, March 17: The updated program for this SCP Chamber Music recital now features Mozart’s Violin Sonata in E Minor; Ravel’s Violin Sonata; Currier’s Trio; Beethoven’s Piano Trio in D Major, Op. 70, No. 1 (Ghost), and Poulenc’s Violin Sonata.

Itzhak Perlman and Evgeny Kissin, May 1: The superstar violinist and pianist will perform Mozart’s Violin Sonata in D Major, K. 306; Brahms’ Violin Sonata No. 2 in A Major, Op. 100, and Beethoven’s Violin Sonata in A Major, Op. 47 (Kreutzer).

Evgeny Kissin, May 12: The Russian pianist has announced the program for his SCP Piano recital: Schumann’s Piano Sonata No. 3 in F Minor, Op. 14; Scriabin’s Piano Sonata No. 4 in F-sharp Major, Op. 30; selected Nocturnes by Chopin, and selections from Debussy’s Preludes, Book I.

Later this month, programming details will be announced for the CSO’s MusicNOW and All-Access Chamber Music series.
