On Thursday, March 2, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra presented “Jazz for Young People: Who is Count Basie?” at Carl Schurz High School for Chicago-area schools. The concert, led by Wynton Marsalis, engaged students with a combination of music and storytelling that focused on Basie’s exciting career.

This concert is also part of the CSO’s annual celebration of Music in Our Schools Month. Learn more about how the CSO is participating at cso.org/MIOSM.
