In this program, Manfred Honeck explores the works of Ottorino Respighi and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. CSO Concertmaster, Robert Chen, is the featured soloist in the rhapsodic Concerto Gregoriano, a work the CSO debuted in the U.S. on October 31, 1924. The program concludes with a RCA Victor recording of Dvořák’s Carnival Overture conducted by Fritz Reiner.
