In this program, Bernard Haitink leads the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in a performance that includes the works of Mozart and Strauss. Till Fellner joins the orchestra and Bernard Haitink in Mozart’s Piano Concert No. 22. This is followed by a thunderous performance of Strauss’s An Alpine Symphony. The program concludes with a selection from a 2014 CSO Resound album, Webern’s Im Sommerwind.
