According to Mead Composer-in-Residence Elizabeth Ogonek, the heart of her All These Lighted Things is a “celebration and reverence for the things that bring joy.” In this week’s radio broadcast, Riccardo Muti conducts the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in the world premiere of her work along with Rossini’s Overture to William Tell and Bruckner’s Romantic Symphony, his Fourth. Rounding out this program, Muti leads the Orchestra in Prokofiev’s tribute to Haydn, the Classical Symphony.
