In his debut as soloist and conductor, Fabio Biondi leads this all-Baroque program with his longtime collaborator, the remarkable mezzo-soprano Vivica Genaux. Together they perform arias by Ariosti, Giacomelli, Veracini, and Vivaldi, and Biondi also leads concertos by Corelli and Vivaldi from the violin. This broadcast closes with Paul Lewis as soloist in Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto under the baton of Christoph von Dohnányi.
