Museum Hours
The Museum is open May through the first Sunday in October; 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and on select Sundays for special events.
Research Library Hours
The library hours are 9 a.m to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday year round. An Appointment is required at least 24 hours in advance. Call 815-923-2267 for more information, and to schedule an appointment.
Society Office Hours
The Historical Society office is open year round, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Museum and Offices are closed New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and "Black Friday," Christmas Eve and Christmas.
The McHenry County Historical Society has a wide array of volunteer opportunities available for those who are interested.
