Marc Strauss

Marc Strauss came to WJBC after spending 32 years as an award winning sportscaster and news reporter at WEEK TV, the NBC affiliate in Peoria, Illinois.

He’s an outstanding storyteller and has been recognized on multiple occasions by the Associated Press for his sports coverage and by the Illinois Broadcasters Association for his play by play skills.

Marc worked at WTSO Radio in Madison, Wisconsin, where he was the play-by-play voice of the University of Wisconsin Hockey team from 1981 through 1984, documenting the Badgers’ 1983 NCAA Championship on radio.

Marc began his broadcasting career as a college student working at campus radio station KCLC and learning the ropes as an intern at KMOX Radio in St. Louis.

Marc is married and has two children.
