The Glencoe News Reading Room
On September 13, 2014, the Glencoe Historical Society proudly opened the Glencoe News Reading Room in the 377 Park Avenue building. This room currently houses bound volumes of the Glencoe News from 1920 through 2004. This collection is one of the most complete and valuable resources on the growth and development of our community.
Visitors can come and look up specific dates and events or just browse the stacks for information. Our volunteers will be happy to help copy or scan material from this collection. The Glencoe Historical Society museum campus is located at 375 Park Avenue, Glencoe, IL. The Glencoe News Reading Room is located in the back building on the property. GHS is open every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. or by appointment. It is best, however, to call ahead (847-835-0040) or email us (info@glencoehistory.org) to make sure that we will be able to provide you with the best and most productive visit. You can also contact us via email at info@glencoehistory.org.
