Description
Soldier and member of Knox's class of 1919 Earle Wallick writes to Dr. Simonds to say, "I presume you have begun to think that I have forgotten my promise to let you hear from me as to how I was situated, but I was only waiting until I was permanently located." Wallick worked as a stenographer for the Civil Service Commission.He expresses a desire to begin again with his interrupted college education: "I am employed in the Application Division and have a very fine lot of fellows to work for,but yet, it is not just like going to Collegeā¦. I hope to take some nightwork and sincerely trust I shall soon be able to take up again my interrupted college course. Do you know of any good school of first class standing here?"
