Hettie Anderson and R. Louise Fitch

Description

Hettie Anderson served as a Y.W.C.A. secretary in Lyons, France during the war. In that position, she was responsible for "teaching some classes, acting as advisor to the women, and providing entertainment and interest for the working women of the country." R. Louise Fitch was also affiliated with the Y.W.C.A., to "make a survey of the moral, social, industrial and educational effects of the war on the women" of France. She presented her findings during a three month Chautaqua tour in the United States.
