[Handwritten Document : Page 1] Earl J . Tuggle , young farmer re-siding four miles northeast of Clinton was inducted into ser-vice June 21 , 1918 . He was sent to the Rhea Auto and Tractor School at North Kansas City , Missouri . After a short training at this school , on August 13 , 1918 he was transported to Camp Holabird , Maryland where he was put in the motor trans-port corp , his address being , company 6 , Water Tank Train #302 . About the middle of September 1918 he received his overseas equip-ment and was awaiting his overseas order when he was taken ill with the Spanish In-fluenza going to the Hospital on Sunday September 22 . He was later removed to United States General Hospital #2 at Ft . McHenry , Baltimore , Mary-land where he died of Influ-enza - Pnemonia on October [Handwritten Document : Page 2] 2 , 1918 . His funeral was held from the M.E . church in clinton on Sunday October 6 , 1918 and burial was in Woodlawn cemetery .
