Clarke Circus Image Collection 
The Clarke Circus Image Collection features photographs taken by Charles Clarke in the early 1920s on the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. While time has caused damage to many of the volatile nitrate negatives, what remains of these largely unseen images truly is a window back in time.
Charles Clarke was not known as a photographer in his day, but was famous as a member of the mighty aerial act The Clarkonians alongside his brother, Ernest.
